was always told in coding circles that shrinking is more processor intensive than enlarging, but i guess that isn’t the case for the game window anymore?

on the upside, i bought a cheap 4k tv to use as a monitor and a new graphics card to handle 4k. (making a 1080 game with a 1080 monitor was very frustrating)

And hundreds of emails from people who want to help fupoco.com improve search results and traffic. I think this is the single most spam email we get. If anyone’s wondering what it’s like to publicly post an email address online, it’s a lot of thirsty auto-mailers hoping for that one big bite / sucker. Occasionally, it’s something more desperate. Had one from an all-ages furry game studio wanting to advertise here…

no demo or screenshots, but does seem to have a… basic scenario script, but not an actual scenario?

While there’s nothing much here yet, I do find it interesting to keep track of the development scene at large. There’s quite a lot of projects that have been sort-of started, ideas kicked around, desires to make something. Would like to see a community pop up around it, to the point where we’ve been kicking around the idea and desire to sort-of start that here. Would be cool to talk game making more often with other furry devs and enthusiasts.

@Torinir I remember when I first started searching for games, a lot of flash animations would come up. And I don’t mean to knock animations or anything, they’re nice. I wonder if this is most everyone’s experience and why the games can feel harder to find than they really should be.

Very cool to see. It’s browser-based, free to play, but you do have to register an account to play. Has the mobile game property of throttling play, so you’ll have to check in once a day to go through a section.

My only gripe is calling it a “dating sim / mystery game”. Played the first day and it’s a visual novel so far. I’ve noticed some other prominent furry devs misclassifying game genres. I know genres are a tricky thing, easy to argue over, and sometimes hard to pin down. The kicker to me is it’s always 1 of 2 scenarios: visual novels wanting to be called dating sims, or interactive sex animations/dress ups wanting to be called games.

Noticing some repeats, which is fine as it’s a big thread. I really need to put up the game list page. Been sitting on it. Honestly, been stuck on looking up some legal issues about it that are probably nothing.

Read somewhere that Fenoxo has finished Corruption of Champions. Pretty amazing!

Games take forever to make. It’s easy to feel down about it, but have to stay motivated and do whatever it takes to keep the drive. or the juice or whatever secret catchword.

I’ve grown to like how sobering it is. Either way, music is rad and a much better venue for quicker attention. I’ll always be jelly of musicians.
