“I would also recommend playing Persona 3 or 4 it would give good [insight] into what you want to make.”
… Well really if you need to play something else to figure out what you want to do with your own project, then that really isn’t what you “want” to make in the first place, is it?As for customization, that is always excellent, but I imagine it would be quite difficult to implement in this type of game, considering how the first one was done.
July 23, 2013 at 10:47 pm #2134I’m experiencing problems with the game crashing as well.
I was able to do it every time I tested it in the current build, and curiously it also seems to happen (without fail) as soon as I manage to finish building a room for 2.
Specifically, the game itself becomes laggy and unresponsive, most of the graphics mess up, and trying to continue playing can cause all manner of weirdness to occur (assuming you can manage to get it to do anything).I do not believe the problem is a memory leak, and the bug (in my case, at least) is definitely not dependent on how long I’ve been playing (it always happens when I first complete construction on a double room, whether I take my time or do it ASAP).
For the record, I am using Firefox on Windows 7. I am also playing the online version and, for me at least, Firefox itself does not stop working, just the game (I have a freshly crashed game open as I type this now, lol).- This reply was modified 11 years, 4 months ago by Justa Puppet.

July 18, 2013 at 3:23 pm #2115Speaking of which – any idea how long we have before the pricing goes up?
:X I ask mostly because I would love to buy it, but it’ll be a while before I can use anything other than PayPal, and that’s not supported here. lolJune 24, 2013 at 7:22 pm #2052Just got an interesting bug, after I had been buying a lot of potions (3 100-hp potions a day, seems like the best it gets). I’m not sure really how to recreate it because it just happened 0_o
I was going through my list of characters to decide who got that day’s potions, when I noticed Bonnie (who happened to be the first in the list) had a 100-hp potion, and I don’t think I put it there. I tried to take it from him and put it in the inventory space, and there was another potion beneath it (it also became extremely difficult to put that potion into the inventory). I pulled that potion out and sold it, because it was too hard to stick it in the inventory (for some reason only a tiny little region it would accept), and either that stopped the chain, or there were only three there to begin with… but even if so, that was really weird.
In summary: no idea how, but I magically summoned 3 100-hp potions in the first character’s item slots, and while I was screwing with ’em I couldn’t easily put them in the inventory (but I could easily sell them or put them in other characters’ item slots).… Also, in response to the previous post, it seems to me that having multiple lower-health potions can be more useful than having less potions that restore high amounts of health; I usually end up using potions to avoid letting several characters get tired by staying high on health, rather than restoring just a few characters from almost empty to full. Thus it seems more helpful to get four weaker potions with a Rep 7 or so character at the shop than getting three stronger potions with a Rep 10+ character (not to mention they’re cheaper). If really high-reputation characters could get a couple lower potions too, or even a multiple-use potion, that would probably help.
… Although, whatever ends up happening, it’s worth noting that in this build, at least the presence of potions makes it considerably easier to avoid having lots of low-health characters at once, if you got the cash. Not sure about the skills though, it’s hard for me to tell.… And sorry for the long post 😛
June 18, 2013 at 8:14 pm #2025I have a couple concerns/suggestions, more about balancing issues though.
Firstly (and I think most importantly) is that I think it’s a bit too easy to exhaust characters, especially in a long game; I’ve played it a few times already (on the 80 days game, so I’ve had time to get a lot going), and managed to get enough characters to get a “full house” going, but I could rarely ever actually make use of even half of the room upgrades because the characters would always get exhausted so quickly (even with 50+ Toughness) that there would just be a perpetual queue of characters waiting to get in to either the Inn or Hospital. (I’m totally assuming that Toughness is what helps make that a little better, because it’s not very clear what stats do what all the time XD)
Suggestions as to fixing that would be:
– Add purchasable upgrades that allow more than 1 or 2 characters to be in the Hospital/Inn at once (probably quite expensive, as they would be most useful when there are many characters hired)
– Alternatively, add some more ways of either boosting health (and removing fatigue) and helping Toughness be more effective in keeping characters’ health up
– … Even more preferably, some combination of the above =PAs I saw (I think on the “To-Do List”), I agree that advertising is overpowered (same for “Leader” spot), although… try not to nerf it too deep into the ground D:
I also think that there should probably be some sort of upgrade that makes it so the house can take more before being in disrepair, having sortof a better maximum messiness capacity (because, as it stands, I don’t see much point to having 3 maids, since 2 seems to always be enough to boost the status from empty to full). I say that also because it’s very easy to reduce the house’s status bar from full to empty really quickly with a full house.
… And does a messy house have any consequences? If not, there should be :X- This reply was modified 11 years, 5 months ago by Justa Puppet. Reason: forgot part of post
